Thankfully, we’ve come across a valuable zombie encounter instructional video. Also, the Amadi Undead pages are now live (in case you didn’t notice). Enlistment begins next week. Details below.
We’ve been stockpiling oodles of blood for our first ever airsoft horror event, which will happen Saturday, October 26th. Should be some good, clean, mutilated, disembodied, terrifying fun! Here are the details:
DATE: October 26th, 2013.
TIME: 3pm-12am or later (checkin from 3pm-4pm. Gate closes at 4:15pm).
FEATURES: Expanded village, buckets of blood, guaranteed poop-your-pants moments of combat horror, use of almost all 300+ acres of the Sandbox, dinner provided with the option to stay the night if you so choose at no extra charge (we will be leaving one of the GP large tents heated).
GAMEPLAY: This will be a two-team event with both day and night skirmishes.
Daytime battle: An infectious new virus has hit the Southwest region of Rhodesia, and the symptoms are terrifying. The Rhodesian Security Service (RSS) has traced the origins of this virus to the Mozambi border, where, coincidentally, a scientist known for biological “experimentations” was recently spotted. Suspicious that Mozambi has announced no outbreaks of their own, the Rhodesian government has decided to send military assets in to investigate any connection they may have with the virus. Time is limited as infections manifest themselves nightly and seem to be compounding. The Rhodesian Republican Army is therefore tasked with detaining and interrogating said scientist, as well as incidentally disabling any weapon emplacements found along the way (SAM sites, etc). Details on your team page.
As is often the case, tensions are high with Mozambi. In fact, they have already made a plea and been granted border support from the NATO-backed Coalition in an effort to avoid another border war (it has been just over a year since Mozambi won the last resource-related conflict, and only a few years since a widely-publicized genocide in the region, of which Rhodesia denies having had any involvement). Mozambi authorities argue that the RSS is just painting an invasion as “self defense.” It doesn’t hurt that the Coalition has been involved in a conflict with the RRA in that same region for quite some time, and thus would welcome a local ally with power to swing the pendulum in their favor. The Coalition is therefore tasked with the objective of suppressing the RRA-led invasion across the Mozambi border, and protecting any human or related assets. Details on your team page. Recent negative publicity relating to the United States National Security Administration have inspired Mozambi to demand that the Coalition avoid participating in any intelligence gathering or anything that may be perceived as intelligence gathering.
Nighttime invasion: Infected persons are found to be dormant during the day, but very active after the sun sets. For that reason, area residents have been advised to amass in the border village of Amadi where a defensive perimeter is put in place while its dark. Coalition soldiers are ordered to do the same. Both are finding this solution inadequate: sleep deprivation is taking a severe mental toll on RRA and Coalition soldiers. And no one’s saying it, but almost everyone is experiencing insomnia-induced hallucinations. Needless to say, paranoia abounds…
COST: $22 USD, dinner included (gourmet hot dogs, gourmet water, gourmet canned soup), as well as the option of sleeping the night (we’ll have a very large heated tent). Sign up in your respective team pages right here. Minimum age is 16.
LOCATION: The Sandbox, Utah. Directions at the bottom of this page.
Note that this just gets you to the last turn (you’ll turn right at the B marker, which is a tall orange traffic cone and follow that road until you see us):

If google maps doesn’t work for you, try this (analog directions):
1. Get to Eureka, UT.
2. Turn WEST at the cemetery, which is just south of town. If you’re driving south, you’ll turn right.
3. Drive past the cemetery, then over two cattle guards. The turnoff will be the second RIGHT after the second cattle guard. There’s been a tall orange traffic cone thing sitting at the turnoff for about six months (should still be there).
4. Follow that road for about a mile. The entrance to the field is now right where the road sharply curves right.
