Note: Everyone is required to certify in Assault class before moving on to any other MOS. Limited to 6 SNIPER SPOTS per team.

SQUAD ROLE
The primary mission of the sniper is to deliver long range, precision fire. Their secondary mission is the collecting and reporting of battlefield information. You must know how to blend in with the surrounding environment. You must demonstrate proficiency with your weapon as it pertains to your MOS by completing the sniper school/course with appropriate marks. If you fail to complete sniper school you must be prepared to fall in to your squad as an assault rifleman.

GEAR
1. Appropriate gear based on team

2. You must have a proper assault rifle in addition to your sniper rifle.
– 350 fps max AEG
– Minimum 5 Mid caps
– No Hi-caps
– Tracer Unit, HUTU, or FLASHLIGHT

3. 400 to 600 FPS rifle (bolt or semi-auto only)
– No tracer or flashlight is required to use with your rifle.
– Mid or low caps only

4. Basic sniper ghillie (head and shoulders only)
– no special plate carrier or chest rig is required.

1. Timed shooting Test 1
– 10 minutes to complete (only allowed three misses) – fail and you are out.
– 100 ft
– 125 ft
– 150 ft
– 175 ft
– 200 ft
– 225 ft
– 250 ft

2. Cover vs. concealment

3. Set sniper hide
– Urban
– Field

4. Timed Shooting Test 2
– 20 minutes to complete (only allowed 2 misses per firing stance) – fail and you are out.
– Must do each distance in a standing, kneeling, supported kneeling, and prone position.
– 100 ft
– 125 ft
– 150 ft
– 175 ft
– 200 ft
– 225 ft
– 250 ft

5. Stalk Test – fail and you are out.
– 2 hrs to engage target without detection

6. Shooting Test 3
– 15 minutes to complete (Only allowed one miss per firing stance) – fail and you are out.
– Must do each distance in a standing, kneeling, kneeling supported, and prone position.
– 100 ft
